At the Bass Shop we take pride in every bass we sell, as a result nothing from our shop is sold to you as is from the factory or maker. Every bass is completely set up as part of the cost we also offer a free adjustment within the first 30 days. This allows us to check the bass has settled and make any height adjustments to the strings or sound post.

A small portion of the setup includes

• A hand selected french bridge
• your choice of Thomastik, D’addario, or for a little extra Pirastro or gut strings
• The nut is properly cut and fitted
• the fingerboard is planed (according to players style)
• the sound post is replaced and a quality one is installed

All our basses come with a bag and French or German bow.

The #200 double basses utilize medium grade flamed maple back and ribs, and an evenly grain spruce top in their construction. these instruments are coated in a hand brushed oil varnish. the #200 is suitable for intermediate to advanced players.

KG 300 $6950

The #300 double basses are fully hand crafted instruments with nicely flamed maple and very even grained spruce tops. They have a hand brushed oil varnish and are well-constructed instruments with an excellent tone quality.

KG 300A Special order

The #300A is the top level KG with a similar mold pattern to the 300 but with heavily flamed back sides and neck block, and very stright grain spruce top. Coated in an oil varnish.

This one of a kind Gliga Vasile Maestro bass represents the pinnacle of Gliga instrument building and as such carries the name of the master luthier Vasile Gliga, founder of the Gliga workshops. Exceptionally beautiful tonewoods have been sourced and selected specially for the construction of this fine instrument. The highest quality Carpathian spruce is matched with beautifully figured maple back and sides and finished in the finest European oil varnish. German Rubner ebony pin machines are fitted into the scroll which has been carefully carved from highly flamed maple.
